Deadline, RealScreen, Daily Journal, Variety and more shared the news of Dale Nelson joining Donaldson + Callif, including Q&A features in Corporate Counsel and Law360.
“I spent over 20 very happy years at Warner Bros., and I could have happily continued,” Nelson said in her interview with Corporate Counsel. “But a new opportunity presented itself that I felt was unique, where I could apply my knowledge and expertise representing independent filmmakers at a time when there seems to be unprecedented interest in independent and documentary films, and I really couldn’t really resist the challenge.”
In her interview with Law360, Nelson shared that she was in part drawn to Donaldson + Callif for its reputation for having “particular expertise” in representing independent filmmakers and “working with those filmmakers to help them tell their stories their way.”
“It’s a very interesting and exciting time to be a lawyer dealing with independent filmmakers,” she added. “I’m really looking forward to being a part of that.”
